New Ravelry Store!

I am so excited today.  I just launched my very own Ravelry store!  It’s called Flecks of Fiber (of course) and it contains my first published design.  It’s a bulky cowl that I designed with my daughter in mind.  She loves chunky cowls and wears them all winter.

This cowl has a fun twisting effect, but without having to execute cables.  I’ve got other ideas for future patterns that will have lots of cables, for those of you who like them.  This one is a fairly simple design that comes out looking pretty complex.  (It’s never too early to start planning your Christmas gift knitting!)

It was such a cool process learning how to design and write a pattern.  Then I got it edited by one of my fellow classmates who is also learning to tech edit.  I think I’m hooked on this process.  Watch for more designs to come shortly.

If you would like to get your own copy, just stop by my shop!  http://www.ravelry.com/stores/flecks-of-fiber

Congratulations on publishing your first design! I was lucky enough to be one of the first 10 to download it free of charge. We should make sure we have a sample of it at the Summerfest booth! Rachel
